…Also, I have rewatched it semi-recently (like, within the past couple years), and I have to say, it holds up so much better if you assume that Mulder and Scully are both Kinsey 5.9s, and they’re just each other’s best exception.

I recently rewatched my favorite episodes (mostly season three, natch) and it was quite eye-opening to see a) how well it holds up and b) how profoundly my storytelling was shaped by this series. All these years later, Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose is still my favorite episode of any television show, ever.
